From Queen's Bohemian Raphosody, Death on Two Legs Words and music by freddie mercury
You suck my blood like a leech
You break the law and you preach
Screw my brain till it hurts
You?ve taken all my money
And you want more
Misguided old mule with your pig headed rules
With your narrow minded cronies
Who are fools of the first division
Death on two legs
You?re tearing me apart
Death on two legs
You?ve never had a heart of your own
Kill joy bad guy big talking small fry
You?re just an old barrow boy
Have you found a new toy to replace me?
Can you face me?
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye
Feel good are you satisfied?
Do you feel like suicide?
(I think you should)
Is your conscience all right
Does it plague you at night?
Do you feel good feel good?
You talk like a big business tycoon
You?re just a hot air balloon
So no one gives you a damn
You?re just an overgrown schoolboy
Let me tan your hide
A dog with disease
You?re the king of the ?sleaze?
Put your money where your mouth is
Mister know-all
Was the fin on your back
Part of the deal? (shark)
Death on two legs
You?re tearing me apart
Death on two legs
You?ve never had a heart (you never did) of your own
(right from the start)
Insane you should be put inside
You?re a sewer rat decaying in a cesspool of pride
Should be made unemployed
Then make yourself null and void
Make me feel good I feel good Pretty much sums up the borg.

District Assembly, Elland Road, Leeds about 15 years ago
by New Worldly Translation inthis memory just came to me and i wondered of anyone else remembered it.
it was at the district assembly where the questions young people ask book was launched.
all the young ones had to move and sit together in one stand of the football stadium.

Do you remember in about '99 when the bomb squad blew up a suspicious package at Leeds that turned out to be a box of Bibles?
That happened in Omaha Nebraska 'bout '94 or '95. Was a briefcase some one had left on the sidewalk outside the Music Hall after a Circus A$$embly. Was kinda gratifying to see the bomb squad blow up the thing. Wonder if some brother just got fed up and left it there, never to return to the fold?

National ID Cards
by RescueMe inthe u.s. house of representatives approved on thursday a sweeping set of rules aimed at forcing states to issue all adults federally approved electronic id cards, including driver's licenses.
under the rules, federal employees would reject licenses or identity cards that don't comply, which could curb americans' access to airplanes, trains, national parks, federal courthouses and other areas controlled by the federal government.
the bill was approved by a 261-161 vote.

I have no problem with digitized info on a driver's license. Many states including the one I reside in do so. I do have reservations about the administration of such a program.
The only thing that seems to be new is that States would have to share their database now (?)
I don't see exactly what else is new in this Act.As a former transportation safety professional, I will attest to the fact that a similar federal program (the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986) did not work for the first 13 years it was in place. It put great burden on the employer, and even with vigilant checks, there were great anomolies from state to state. Also, it did not remove 'bad' drivers from the road. The national database that would have caught multi state licenses was never implemented, or was ineffectivley administered, again putting the burden on the employer.
Maybe, this is Mr. Bush's was of creating jobs. The local news in Minneapolis had a feature last week on the TSA employees who stand around in airports doing crossword puzzles durring downtime. And there is lots of downtime for them. But hey, they are employed!

Do you think of yourself as an apostate
by barbar inmany of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

I should have been more clear in my thought on investing in alt. energy. I mean implement the technology now, like there is no foreign oil. Farmers producing crops for bio-disel, ethanol, wind production, energy cells, solar, etc. Put the US to work. Fossil fuel grabbing stagnation, and what passes as survival instinct is entropy. If we are the 'best and the brightest', let's act like it.
My appologies to all, for getting this off topic, but this apparently has hit my hot button. I didn't think I had one left! It is so nice to carry on a conversation with some one over the age of four! Thanks to all.

well it is either cheap oil or exploit alternative energy (usa knows perfectly how to do it, it has perfected it). If other sources of energy become freely available it means the begining of the end for the present (oil controlled) geopolitical system.
If the government was as serious as they have stated in the past to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, yes, they should invest in alternative energy. It would improve our economy via manufacturing, jobs, and new technologies to be liscensed (not given away!) to foreign countries. It would be a boon for our environment. Our elderly and poor would not have to decide between food, prescription drugs, or staying warm.
Gmoney, you are spot on:
Wake up, you have no rights. The government and powers that be want all Americans to be drunk and watch sports while everythiong is stolen from them. They may give you back some of the stolen things with strings attached.
The government will make the people beg for "security" measures which will infringe upon their rights.
We are moving from a republic to a totalitarianist regime and the people are too stupid to see it.And yes, I am a crazy hippie. Long hair, and in dire need of a bath! I am an idealistic, hence my flirtation with the WTBTS, but realistic enough to see right, hence my exit from same. I fear for our nation. Our consumeristic, liquor besotted culture fans the hatred of the Islamic world, and our current administration's foreign policies pour gasoline (no pun intended) on that hatred. The consequences of both side's intolerance will probably lead to WW3(?), and the domestic policies may spark a new civil war.
As far as NO RIGHTS go, I am watching the Ward Churchill thingy with baded breath. The Govenor of Colorado is out for his job, if not legally, they by illegal means. Prof. Churchill's choice of words may have been poor, or his thought inadequately expressed, but I'll bet his First, Ninth and Tenth Ammendment rights will be his savior. Remember, the men that wrote our Constitution were 'radicals' too.
Now, for that bath.

"states to deny driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants"
Is that a bad thing?Roybatty, no, it is not necessairaly a bad thing.
The USA is at war, (permanently at war !) constitutional rights can be reduced during periods of war, or "national safety"
that is the price usa residents and citizenz have to pay for their elected gov not doing its job preventing terrorism (intentionally to have excuses to...? )One, yes, Article 1 sec.8 gives Congress the authority to declare war. The President has the power to order the armed forces to act. http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/article01/
The elastic clause in sec.8 gives Congress the power "To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."
The current administration has certainly taken this clause to heart and has run with it (patriot act, new environmental legislation and now the national id card). It seems to me that the US Government has not only not prevented terrorisim, but has throught it's sub rosa policies in the middle east has been actively encouraging it for years. To what end? Cheap Oil? Or the sacrifice of US Constitutional guarantees of personal liberties for the benefit of a technocracy?
If we do not speak out now, our childeren may never get to form an accurate historical analysis of this era.
